The Gingerbread Tree closed July 6, but that closure is temporary, according to officials with Central Kentucky Community Action.
Pam Smith, the director of Central Kentucky Community Action Head Start, said they hope to reopen the center within the next three weeks as the Central Kentucky Early Learning Academy. She said they are in the process of repainting the facility and hiring staff.
"We are working very diligently," Smith said, later adding, "We're looking to open up as soon as we can."
