Golf team places fifth in home tourney

Marion County High  School hosted the Marion County Invitational at Rosewood Golf Club Saturday. Overall, 17 teams competed in the event, and Marion County was able to take fifth place.
"I'm pleased with us finishing fifth out of 17 teams, but was hoping for a better score," Coach Chad Spalding said. "The course played tough with the wind on Saturday. Logan Medley had a solid round, and so did Trevor Burchell."
As a team, the Knights finished with a total score of 347. Individual scores for the Knights were Logan Medley with an 80, Trevor Burchell with an 86, Casey Lee with an 88 and Evan Dye with a 93.
Pleasure Ridge Park High School won the invitational with a total score of 317 with Taylor County finishing second with a total score of 326.
