Grant and Thomas receive degrees

On Saturday, May 4, 2013, University of the Cumberlands (UC) announced that William Grant and Matthew Thomas, both of Lebanon, graduated during their annual commencement ceremony. Grant received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Thomas received a Master of Arts in Education degree in instructional leadership principal all G.
The University conferred 536 total degrees during the commencement ceremony making it the largest graduating class in UC’s history.
All Cumberland undergraduate students are required to complete a minimum of 40 hours of community service before graduation, and those who choose to complete a minimum of 200 service hours are named Hutton Scholars at commencement. The class of 2013 contributed a total of 30,198 hours of service to the Williamsburg community. Sixty-three graduating seniors were designated Hutton Scholars.
