Gravel Switch man indicted on rape charges

Steven E. Orberson, 21, of 55 Hwy. 243 in Gravel Switch was indicted for second-degree rape (two counts), second-degree sodomy and second-degree persistent felony offender.

According to the indictment, on or about March 30 and April 2, 2011, Orberson engaged in sexual intercourse with a person less than 14 years old. The indictment also reads that on April 2, he engaged in deviate sexual intercourse with a person less than 14 years old.
