H1N1 vaccines available for all elementary school students

Clinics will be held this week

The Marion County Health Department in conjunction with the Marion County School District are offering H1N1 vaccines to all elementary school age students. The clinics will be held as follows:

  • Dec. 3: West Marion Elementary from 8:30 a.m. - 12 p.m.

                 Calvary Elementary from 12:30 p.m. - 3 p.m.

  • Dec. 4: Lebanon Elementary from 8:30 a.m. - 12 p.m.

                Glasscock Elementary from 12:30 p.m. - 3 p.m.

The vaccine is free to all students who have a signed parent consent form on file in the school office by the date of the vaccine clinic. The consent forms along with information concerning the H1N1 virus and vaccines were sent home with all elementary students. Anyone needing a consent form or has questions concerning the clinics may call the child's school or contact Judy Gaddie, director of pupil personnel, at (270) 692-3721.

A parent wishing to be present when the vaccine is administered may take their child to the Marion County Health Department.
