He was born on Oct. 21, 1925 in Marion County.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Ray Hobson Sr. and Lucille Floyd Mardis; his first wife, Georgia Barr Mardis; a brother, Ray Hobson Mardis Jr.; and a sister, Mary Louise Colvin.
