Kim Jones, a local dairy farmer from Loretto, recently attended the Dairy Farmers of America, Inc. Mideast Area Young Cooperator Conference in Newark, Ohio. Jones was among more than 100 DFA members who attended the conference.
Jones, a third-generation farmer, milks 130 Holstein cows on 400 acres with her husband, Tim.
At the conference, Jones attended a variety of presentations. Jones also had the opportunity to tour Kroger Co.’s Tamarack plant in Newark to view the process milk undergoes after leaving the dairy.
