If the success of its junior varsity squad is any indicator, the future of the Marion County High School varsity football squad appears to be in good shape for at least a few more years.
The Knights smoked Green County's junior varsity team 38-6 to win the Heartland Conference championship for the second year in a row last week. The Knights beat Green County for the title last year on a last minute field goal.
Junior Varsity Head Coach Corey Crume said the Knights lost to Green County 8-6 earlier in the year.
