JV and freshmen drop several games

The Marion County High School freshman boys basketball team beat Campbellsville High School on Friday.

The Knights outlasted the Eagles 47-29 at Campbellsville. Patrick Gribbins led the way for Knights with 18 points. Eric Burton added 12 points while Eric Farmer dropped in seven of his own. John Southall had four points while Carlos Litsey, Vincent Collins and Brandon Sandusky had two points.

The freshman squad dropped a game on the same day to Adair County, falling 45-28.

Patrick Gribbins led the way with 9 points. Eric Farmer and Vincent Collins had seven and Eric Burton had three. John Southall added two.

The freshman squad fell on Thursday of last week against Bethlehem High School. The Knights lost 47-21.

Patrick Gribbins led the way for the Knights with 11 points. John Southall had 3 and Eric Burton, Eric Farmer and Carlos Litsey added 2. Jared Vaughn chipped in with one point.

Bethlehem     11  14  13  9 - 47  

The junior varsity squad outgunned Bethlehem on Thursday of last week. The Knights won 47-35.

Deshawn Douglas led the Knights with 18 points. Marquis Douglas and Brian Loper added 12 points apiece. Kendrick Knopp had four points and Justin Price had a point.

On Tuesday of last week, the junior varsity squad lost a close on to Boyle County, 47-42.

Kendrick Knopp led the way for the Knights with 19 points. Brian Loper contributed 14 points. Josh Brockman had five points while Marquis Douglas and John Southall had two points apiece.

The freshmen squad fell on the same day to Boyle County, 59-47.

Patrick Gribbins led the way with 15 points. Eric Burton had 14 of his own. John Southall had seven points and Eric Farmer had five. Kendall Taul had four points and Carlos Litsey had two.

The junior varsity squad couldn't pull one out against Nelson County on Monday of last week. They fell 43-33 against Nelson County.

Josh Brockman, Brian Loper and Kendall Taul had six points apiece. Jared Vaughn had five. Marquis Douglas had four and Justin Price had three. Dalton Mills added two and Deshawn Douglas had one.

On the same day, the freshman squad outlasted Nelson County 28-22.

Carlos Litsey had 12 points and Patrick Gribbins had nine. John Southall added four points. Eric Burton had two and Kendall Taul had one.
