According to Wikipedia, it is one of the oldest forms of karate there is. But while the martial art might be old, it certainly doesn’t mean the young can’t practice it.
Jade Elder, 10, has been practicing shorin ryu since she was eight-years-old. She got her start when her Papa, Bobby Morgeson, introduced her to the sport.
“He was probably a green belt or a purple belt when he asked me if I wanted to do karate,” Elder said. “So I said yeah.”
