Kids help raise money for Loretto community

-A A +A

Kids from the local Modern Woodmen of America Youth Service Club recently worked together to raise funds to help their community. As part of the organization’s Matching Fund Program, the kids had a bake sale. The project raised $500 to benefit the West Marion Senior Citizens.
Modern Woodmen matches money raised by the club to $500, so the local club’s donation totaled $1,000.
The Loretto club is one of approximately 800 youth clubs that provide young Modern Woodmen members with opportunities to volunteer, be patriotic, learn new skills, make friends and have fun. Last year, Matching Fund projects conducted by Modern Woodmen chapters and youth service clubs raised $6.5 million to contribute to community projects, local organizations and individuals in need.
