Knights come up short against Waggener

The Marion County Knights boys' basketball team fought hard all night but in the end Waggener High School's height would have the Knights coming up short.

Down as many as 19 in the second half, a late three pointer by Chuck Elder would bring the Knights back within two points at 74-72 with 3:31 to play. The small but loud crowd at the Roby Dome erupted after Elder's three. Austin Spalding brought the Knights even closer at the three-minute mark, putting them behind 75-74.
