Friday, the Marion County varsity boys’ basketball team battled Campbellsville at the Roby Dome. From the opening tip, the two teams fought for the lead until midway through the fourth quarter when the Knights began to pull away. Marion County made 21 of 39 shots from inside the arc in the game for an impressive shooting percentage of 54 percent. The locals stretched the lead to 12 points late in the fourth period and went on to win the game by 10 points, with a final score of 57-47.
