If the weather permits the Marion County Knights will have a flurry of games to finish out the regular season.

A game scheduled against East Jessamine on Monday will be moved to Wednesday night if the original date is rescheduled.

East Jessamine (12-13) played in the Mordecai's Holiday Homecoming Classic this year. They have played several mutual opponents and usually fared the same as Marion County.

"They're a good young team," Knights Head Coach Tim Peterson said. "They have one senior who is close to being a 1,000-point scorer. They're not real big but they are bigger than us."

That game is set to tip off at 7:30 p.m. at East Jessamine.

On Thursday, the Knights are scheduled to play Paul Laurence Dunbar at Dunbar.

Dunbar (2-20) sits at the bottom of the 11th Region and has struggled this season. Their wins have come over Elizabethtown and Danville.

"They're down this year but have played a tough schedule. They're still comparable to us," Peterson said.

That game is set to tip off at 7:30 p.m. at Dunbar.

On Friday, the Knights travel to LaRue County (13-9) to wrap up the regular season.

"They're similar to us," Peterson said. "They've got some guys back from last year. Taylor County beat them by three or four the other night. They're probably about like we are. A lot of teams in our region are about the same."

That game is set to tip off at 7:30 p.m. at LaRue County.

Twentieth District tournament play begins next Wednesday for the Knights. Check back in next week's edition for a preview of their match up with Campbellsville.
