Knights fall short in tournament

-A A +A
By Jessica Veatch and Josh Veatch

The Marion County boys golf team traveled to the Danville Country Club  Tuesday of last week to compete in the regional tournament.
After a rough start to the round, Joseph Elder showed a lot of grit and guts to come back to shoot a 78. Elder could have very easily folded and counted himself out after his first four holes, according to Head Coach Chad Spalding. However, Elder battled and fought back, only missing the cut for the state tournament by two strokes.
Spalding also commented that Casey Lee and Aaron Hamilton played fairly solid, with respective scores of 90 and 91. Logan Medley and Blair Gorley both shot a 98 in the round.
