Knights get mixed results in last scrimmage

The Marion County High School Knights varsity and junior varsity basketball teams took on DuPont Manual at Male High School in their final preseason scrimmage Saturday. The junior varsity team won three of four quarters and went on to win their scrimmage, but the varsity team dropped three of four quarters and did not fare as well.
Marion County took the first two quarters of the junior varsity scrimmage, each by at least six points. Chase Lancaster and Anton Cowherd each led the team with six points in the first period that the junior varsity Knights won 19-13.
