Tabor runs wild against Green County defense

By Jesse Osbourne

The Marion County Knights recovered an onside kick with 25 seconds to go in the game to secure another victory Friday night at Green County.

As the clock hit all zeros, the Knights led 24-20 and secured an 8-2 season and momentum heading into next week’s playoff match against Fairdale.

Jacob Tabor ran wild against Green County. With Dylan Peterson in a cast and stuck on defense and Jordan Bell leaving in the first half with a mild concussion not to return, Tabor saw more carries than usual.

Tabor opened the game with a 64-yard scamper, putting the Knights up 7-0 only a minute into the game.

The Knights take on Fairdale, who lost 17-14 to DeSales Friday night, next Friday at Fairdale in the first round of Class 4A playoffs.
