Knights host annual Maroon-White scrimmage

The Marion County High School Knights basketball team hosted their annual maroon-white scrimmage on Monday of last week. Prizes were given out, the Marion County High School band and cheerleaders performed, and the freshman and junior varsity/varsity teams scrimmaged each other.  
The freshman team split up and scrimmaged each other in a 20-minute period. In the end, the white team ended up squeaking out a one point win 27-26 over the maroon squad. Ty Murphy led the white team with nine points, but also scored two points for the maroon team as some of the players swapped teams in the middle of the scrimmage. Javen Adams led the maroon team with 12 points.

The junior varsity and varsity teams also split up and scrimmaged each other in a 20-minute period. After 20 minutes of action, the white team came out on top by a final score of 40-30. Latrelle Irvin led the white team with 15 points while Alex Smith led the maroon team with 11 points.
