Knights open season at Taylor County

The Marion County Knights golfers went into their season swinging by playing in the Taylor County Invitational on Aug. 2. The Knights came in 13th out of 19 teams.

“For our first event out at a pretty tough course, we played OK,” Knights Coach Chad Spalding said. “But I would say not to expectations.”

Houston Raikes led the Knights with an 84. Raikes was followed by Noah Dye who had a 90. Trevor Burchell and Bryce Spalding each posted a 92. Daniel Maupin had a score of 115.
