Tuesday of last week, the Marion County Knights baseball team traveled to Campbellsville to take on the Taylor County Cardinals. The Knights would jump out to an early 2-1 lead after the opening inning, but weren’t able to muster much offense after that.
The Cardinals would score four runs in the second inning and five in the third inning to break the game open, and cruise to a 14-5 victory. The loss, the fourth in a row for the Knights, dropped their record to 5-7 overall and 0-3 in the district race.
