The Marion County Knights played against the Nelson County Tigers and Bethlehem Eagles a pair of matches last week.

The Knights put away the Tigers on their home turf when they shot a 180 to the Tigers 201 Sept. 3.

Knights Logan Medley and Trevor Burchell led the game when they both scored 42 strokes. Evan Dye followed closely behind with a 43, and Houston Raikes shot a 46.

The Knights were narrowly defeated, however, by the Bethlehem Eagles in a 167-170 match Sept. 5. Medley led the Knights by shooting the lowest score. He had shot a 38.

Burchell followed closely behind Medley with a 40.

The rest of the Knights scores are as follows: Evan Dye shot a 45, Mason Gadberry shot a 47 and Noah Dye shot a 51.

Bethlehem’s top golfers were Daniel Steele with a score of 39 and J.T. Smith with a score of 43.
