The Marion County Lady Knights softball team played three games last week, winning two and losing one. The Lady Knights have a 5-1 district standing, making them the No. 1 seed in the district. The team's overall record is now 12-4.
"This was a tremendous milestone for our program," Coach Todd Spalding said. "To replace seven of nine starters from last season and win the first regular season district championship in school history speaks volumes about our players."
Spalding added that he is proud of how hard his team continues to work.
