The Marion County High School girls soccer team (6-11) may have bowed out Tuesday night against powerhouse Boyle County High School (16-3-1) but not without raising some eyebrows first.
The Lady Knights drew first blood when senior Roya Headley netted a goal off freshman Makayla Epps' assist four minutes into the game.
"I never in my wildest dreams envisioned putting a goal in the back of the net in the first four minutes," Lady Knights Head Coach Neil Payne said. "I was shocked, Boyle County was shocked, we were shocked."
