Advance to championship game in Paris tournament

By Jesse Osbourne

After Sunday afternoon, the Lady Knights will have at least claimed second place in consecutive holiday tournaments.

Trent Milby and the Lady Knights claimed second in the inaugural Lady Admirals Tournament in Danville, losing only to champion Tates Creek (4-5), a team that was winless going into the tournament.

The Lady Knights were slated to play a team from Smith, Tenn. on Sunday afternoon at the Kentucky Bank Holiday Classic in Paris, Ky.

The Lady Knights dispatched Covington Holmes (4-4) 53-35 on Friday afternoon. They beat Ballard Memorial (8-4) 51-31 at noon on Saturday and beat Leslie County (5-4) 82-48 on Saturday night in the semi finals.

Milby did not return a phone message left on Saturday afternoon so no stats were known at press time.

Games during the Lady Admirals tournament that were not reported before last week's deadline include a 62-29 win over South Floyd (2-6) and a 67-37 win over Danville (4-3).
