Lady Knights open district play this week

The Marion County High School girls' basketball team faced region foe Adair County (1-1) on Tuesday night on the road.

Lady Knights Head Coach Trent Milby said that the Lady Indians were a young team like Marion County.

"They've got some decent size," he said. "We expect zone defense from them. We'll have to get after them and use the press to our advantage. If we get some easy baskets it seems to get us going."

The Lady Indians beat region opponent John Hardin (0-3) 71-54 and lost to region contender Green County (2-0) 66-48.
