The Marion County Lady Knights tennis team was able to compete in two matches last week with one against Fort Knox being cancelled due to rain. Marion County played Taylor Wednesday on the road (make-up match from Monday) and took on Central Hardin Thursday at home. The Lady Knights were able to defeat Taylor County 4-1, but were defeated by Central Hardin 1-4.
“The match-ups with Taylor and Central Hardin that we played this week provided competitive matches for the girls,” Head Coach Angela Holt said. “I think all the players recognize after these matches that we need to do some additional conditioning and strive to outlast our opponents by just keeping the ball in play and decreasing our unforced errors.”
