Lawsuits Former MCHS band director facing civil complaints by two former students

Complaint alleges Bennett demanded student to have sex with him or he would rape her

Curtis Bennett, former Marion County High School teacher and band director who will be sentenced on Aug. 3 for sex offenses involving female students, is facing two civil lawsuits.
Bennett was first arrested on Jan. 6, 2016, after an investigation found evidence of inappropriate activity between Bennett and a female student.
At that time, he pled not guilty to the charges, and resigned from his position as a teacher and band director at MCHS. He had been working at MCHS since August of 2011.
