Lebanon Fire, EMS responds to two fires

The Lebanon Fire Department and Marion County EMS responded to two house fires in the past week.

- At noon, Oct. 5, the Lebanon Fire Department and Marion County EMS responded to a fire at 950 Barbers Mill Road.

Jimmy Bradshaw was home at the time of the fire. He received some minor injuries in an attempt to put the fire out himself, according to Lebanon Fire Chief Ricky Mattingly.

An electrical fire started either in the washer or dryer, Mattingly said. The fire damage was confined to the utility room and the adjacent area, but the house did receive heavy smoke and heat damage.

The scene was cleared at 2:30 p.m.

- At 9:20 a.m. Monday, Oct. 11, the Lebanon Fire Department and Marion County EMS responded to a fire at 353 N. Forest Street in Lebanon.

The fire was confined to a hallway and a bathroom, according to Mattingly. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.

No one was home at the time of the fire, Mattingly said. A neighbor noticed it and contacted emergency services.

The scene was cleared at 10:48 a.m.
