After dominating last year and claiming the President’s Cup, this year the Lebanon Country Club (LCC) lost a tight one to Springfield’s finest during the last match Sunday at the Lebanon course.
Springfield defeated Lebanon 16 to 14 to take the trophy back to Lincoln Homestead State Park. Had Lebanon won their last match and tied the score at 15-15, they would have retained the Cup from last year.
Lebanon started the tournament down 2.5 to 3.5 after the better ball round at Springfield on Saturday.
Louis Carrico and Richard Crum lost to Ricky Hoppes and Nick Yates two and one.
Jamie Abell and Sam Bullock lost one up to Barrett Tingle and Randall Cox.
Tommy Carrico and Curt Manning won one up against Bobby Haydon III and Jonathon Jones.
Max Manning and Larry Mattingly won one up against Jason Osbourne and Kurt Blandford.
Adam Milby and T.J. Raikes lost two and one to Kalen Boone and Joe B. Yates.
Philip Brady and Matthew Gribbins were all square with Mikie Yates and Brian Spalding.
