Lebanon man gets probation on drug charges

Charles L. Gaddie, 30, of 309 S. Proctor Knott Avenue in Lebanon received five years of probation for first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance first offense (three counts) and second-degree persistent felony offender (three counts). A charge of use or possession of drug paraphernalia was dismissed.

In other circuit court news:
- William Downs, 21, of 152 Russell Road Apt. 1 in Campbellsville received five years of probation for first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance first offense (four counts) and possession of drug paraphernalia (three counts). He was ordered to serve 90 days in jail.
- Joshua Chad Greene, 21, of 660 Doctor Street in Lebanon received three years of probation for assault under very extreme emotional disturbance.
- William Lanham, 29, of 2965 Riley Road in Gravel Switch received shock probation on charges of marijuana cultivation over five plants and receiving stolen property over $500. He is to remain under the supervision of the Division of Probation and Parole for two years.
- Rita Porter, 43, of 443 North Street in Lebanon was sentenced to 10 days in jail for disorderly conduct. She received credit for time served, and a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia was dismissed.

Sentencing pending
- Marcus Terrell Sanders, 35, of 641 George Street in Lebanon pled guilty to first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (cocaine) first offense. He was  ordered to use no drugs or alcohol. His sentencing is scheduled for Aug. 18. A charge of first-degree persistent felony offender was dismissed.
- Brandon Brady, 26, of 806 Thompson Drive in Lebanon pled guilty to first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (cocaine) second or subsequent offense (two counts) and second-degree persistent felony offender (two counts).
His sentencing has been scheduled for July 21. Two charges of use or possession of drug paraphernalia were dismissed.
Dismissals
- A charge of theft by unlawful taking over $300 was dismissed against Cynthia Whitis, 33, of 60 Robin Drive in Stanford for completion of her pretrial diversion.
- Charges of second-degree assault and second-degree fleeing or evading police were dismissed against Timothy Bright, 34, of 111 Springhill Drive in Lebanon. The charges were dismissed with grounds to reinstate. The charges were dismissed because the victim has not cooperated with the Commonwealth.
