Lebanon man indicted for 20 counts of rape

Mulberry Street resident accused of failure to comply with sex offender registry

Michael Johnson Jr., 25, of 337 M. L. King Blvd. #2 in Lebanon was indicted for 20 counts of first-degree rape and four counts of first-degree sodomy in Marion Circuit Court recently.

According to the indictment, between May 19, 2010, and Oct. 9, 2011, Johnson engaged in sexual intercourse with a person who was incapable of consent because she was younger than 12 years old. The indictment also reads that Johnson engaged in deviate sexual intercourse with someone by forcible compulsion or who was incapable of consent because she was younger than 12 years old.

His bond was set at $50,000 with the condition that he has no contact with the complaining witness or her family.

In other indictments:

- George L. Rakes Jr., 40, of 334 W. Mulberry Street in Lebanon was indicted for failure to comply with sex offender registry (second offense) and first-degree persistent felony offender.

According to the indictment, on or about March 31, 2012, Rakes, being a convicted sex offender, changed his address without notifying the Division of Probation and Parole, and thereby failed to comply with the registration and notification requirements of the Kentucky Sex Offender Registration Act.

The indictment also reads that he was over 21 and stood convicted of at least two felonies after his 18th birthday.

His bond was set at $15,000.

- Robert Joseph Williamson, 28, of 120 J.T. Riggs Road in New Hope was indicted for first-degree wanton endangerment (two counts), first-degree fleeing and evading, second-degree fleeing and evading police, third-degree criminal mischief, possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle, rear license not illuminated, failure to or improper signal, operating on a suspended or revoked operator's license, reckless driving and first-degree persistent felony offender.

According to the indictment, on or about April 7, 2012, Williamson manifested extreme indifference to human life by wantonly engaging in conduct that created a substantial risk of death or serious physical injury to two people. The indictment also reads that, while driving a motor vehicle with intent to elude or flee, he disobeyed an order to stop given by a police office. The indictment also reads that, while a pedestrian, he attempted to flee or elude a policer officer.

The indictment continues to read that he was over 21 and stood convicted of at least two felonies after his 18th birthday.

His bond was set at 10 percent of $20,000.

- Ryan K. Holgate, 29, of 1070 Scuffle Creek in Bradfordsville was indicted for first-degree wanton endangerment and leaving the scene of an accident.

According to the indictment, on or about March 24, Holgate manifested extreme indifference to human life by wantonly engaging in conduct that created a substantial risk of death or serious physical injury to two people. The indictment also reads that he was operating a motor vehicle that collided with another vehicle, and he failed to stop his vehicle to render assistance and left the scene of the accident.

His bond was set at $2,500.
