Lebanon man indicted for rape

Finley man indicted for attempt to commit murder

Henry Rodney Beatty Jr., 32, of 222 Cleaver Court in Lebanon was indicted in Marion Circuit Court Monday of last week on five counts of second-degree rape.

According to the indictment, on at least five occasions on or about Nov. 25, 2008, and continuing through April of 2009, Beatty engaged in sexual intercourse with another person who was younger than 14 years old.

His bond was set at $60,000, and he was ordered to have no contact with the victim.

  In other indictments:

• Manuel C. Pittman, 50, of 356 Paul Shewmaker Road in Finley was indicted for criminal attempt to commit murder and six counts of first-degree wanton endangerment.

According to the indictment, on or about July 16, Pittman shot at Richard Price, intending to kill him. The indictment also states that Pittman engaged in conduct, which created substantial danger of death or serious physical injury to at least six people.

His bond was set at $75,000. He was ordered to have no alcohol, no weapons and no contact with Richard Price.

• Joshua T. O'Bryan, 27, of 1590 Sulpher Springs Road in Lebanon was indicted for criminal attempt to commit murder, carrying a concealed deadly weapon, violation of Kentucky EPO/DVO, third-degree criminal trespassing, resisting arrest, terroristic threatening and alcohol intoxication.

According to the indictment, on or about July 28, O'Bryan violated the provisions of an emergency protective order with intent to cause the death of Melanie O'Bryan and was carrying a concealed deadly weapon. The indictment also states that he remained unlawfully in a premise, attempted to resist being arrested and threatened to commit a crime likely to result in the death of Melanie O'Bryan. The indictment further states that he appeared in a public place manifestly under the influence of alcohol to the degree that he was a danger to himself and others.

His bond was set at $75,000. He was ordered to have no contact with Melanie O'Bryan and no weapons.

• Deshay Alan Gunn, 25, of 336 Boldrick Avenue in Lebanon was indicted for first-degree sodomy, first-degree attempted rape and second-degree burglary.

According to the indictment, on or about May 16, Gunn engaged in deviate sexual intercourse with another person by forcible compulsion or engaged in deviate sexual intercourse with another person who was incapable of consent because she was physically helpless. The indictment also states that Gunn knowingly entered or remained unlawfully in a dwelling.

His bond was set at 10 percent of $30,000 bond. He was ordered to have no contact with the victim and no contact with Boldrick Avenue.

• Charles Nunley II, 41, of 8100 Organ Creek in Pendleton was indicted for first-degree sodomy, two counts of second-degree sodomy and first-degree sex abuse.

According to the indictment, on or about January of 2006, and continuing through June 26, 2006, Nunley engaged in deviate sexual intercourse with another person by forcible compulsion or engaged in deviate sexual intercourse with another person who is incapable of consent because she is younger than 12 years old.

The indictment also states that on or about January of 2006, and continuing through November of 2006, Nunley engaged in deviate sexual intercourse with another person younger than 14 years old.

The indictment further states that on or about January of 2006, and continuing through November of 2006, on three occasions he subjected another person to sexual contact by forcible compulsion.

His bond was set at $5,000. He was ordered to have no contact with the victims or their mother.

• Johnny Jenkins, 51, of 525 North Snt. Francis Road in Loretto was indicted for second-degree criminal abuse involving a child 12 years old or younger.

According to the indictment, on or about June 7, Jenkins wantonly abused a person or permitted a person of whom one has actual custody to be abused and caused serious physical injury or placed a person in a situation that may cause serious physical injury or cause torture, cruel confinement or cruel punishment to a person 12 years old or younger.

His bond was set at $5,000. He was ordered to have no contact with the victim.

• Deborah S. Nally, 50, of 851 Three Pines Road in Lebanon was indicted for second-degree criminal abuse involving a child 12 years old or younger.

According to the indictment, on or about June 7, Nally wantonly abused a person or permitted a person of whom one has actual custody to be abused and caused serious physical injury or placed a person in a situation that may cause serious physical injury or cause torture, cruel confinement or cruel punishment to a person 12 years old or younger.

Her bond was set at 10 percent of $10,000. She was ordered to have no contact with the victim.

• Sergio Trujillo, 31, of Hundley Lane in Lebanon was indicted for first-degree assault.

According to the indictment, on or about May 10, Trujillo intentionally caused serious physical injury to another person by means of a deadly weapon, which created a grave risk of death to another person.

He is being held without bond.
