Lebanon man ordered to register as a sex offender

Michael Lee Clarkson, 18, of 486 Radio Station Road in Lebanon received five years of pretrial diversion in Marion Circuit Court recently on a charge of first-degree wanton endangerment. He must be supervised as a registered sex offender, and he was ordered to complete sex offender treatment and to have no contact with the victim or the victim’s family and no unsupervised contact with children under 12.
Clarkson was originally indicted on charges of first-degree rape, victim under 12, first-degree sodomy, victim under 12 and first-degree sexual abuse, victim under 12.

In other circuit court news:
- Casey Hague, 32, 115 S. High View Drive in Bradfordsville received three years of probation for cultivation of marijuana first offense. He was ordered to pay $5,000 in lieu of forfeiture within 12 months and $150 court costs.
Cash seized at the time of the search was awarded to the Lebanon Police Department Drug Task Force ($386) and to the Unified Prosecutorial System ($68).
Charges of trafficking in marijuana (over eight ounces, under five pounds) and possession of drug paraphernalia were dismissed.
- Steven Donald Richards, 49, of 161 Cemetery Road in Lebanon received 24 months of probation for second-degree possession of a controlled substance, first-degree DUI and operating a motor vehicle with a revoked or suspended license. He was ordered to pay a $500 fine and court costs and to enroll in an alcohol or substance abuse education treatment program.
Charges of failure to produce insurance card and rear license plate not illuminated were dismissed.
- Sheila Ann Mings, 40, 112 Ray Street in Campbellsville received 12 months of probation for third-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument. She was ordered to pay $341.25 restitution to Community Trust Bank. The restitution includes circuit court fees and court costs.
