John H. Turner, 47, of Lebanon was sentenced in two separate cases. His motion for probation was denied in both cases on the grounds it would depreciate the seriousness of the crime. The sentences are to be served concurrently for a total of five years.
In the first, Turner was sentenced to five years in prison for theft by deception over $500. He was ordered to pay $1,524.60 in restitution to Clark Jeweler’s. Turner allegedly passed a check there knowing it would not be honored.
