The first Saturday in May is synonymous with the Kentucky Derby, but the Lebanon Marketplace (formerly the farmer's market) will also be getting out of the gates that day.
Barbie Ballard, the coordinator for the Marketplace, reminded the community that the Marketplace pavilion is located on M.L. King Avenue, across the street from the Cardinal Den.
Ballard said there will be a few vendors selling flowers and plants starting May 1, but more farmers will bring fresh produce around June. She added that the Marketplace will is also open to other vendors in addition to farmers.
