From the food that we eat to the clothes that we wear, agriculture is everywhere. That is why it is important for us to celebrate National Agriculture Week March 13-19. The average American farmer feeds 155 people and with 2.2 million farms agriculture is going strong. As the world population grows so does the production on America’s farms.  We are able to feed and clothe more people on less land. As Marion County’s largest industry our 1,100 family farms produce a variety of quality crops and livestock.
