Letter: Concerned about flouride

As I have known the dangers of fluoride in our drinking water (and toothpaste) for years, today I took it upon myself to contact the Marion County Water offices who referred me to the Lebanon Water offices. John Thomas confirmed that the Lebanon Water works do contain 1 ppm fluoride in our drinking water. “Is there anything we can do to remove it?” “No.” He recommended the use of drinking bottled water and the Lebanon fluoridated water for other things. He says that the Lebanon water is regulated under Kentucky state controls and that, if Lebanon ceased to use fluoride, it would be “harshly penalized” by the state.  Folks, fluoride has been proven to be dangerous to teeth and the brain functions. Alaska has only  recently but finally moved to remove fluoride from its water. Europe says “No” to fluoride. Fluoride is a waste product from dangerous chemicals. We must contact our Congress and Senate en masse to push legislation against fluoride which causes fluorisis in teeth, attention deficit disorder, hyperactivity in children (sound familiar?).
