Letter: Police don't need new cars

I saw an article in the Enterprise stating that we the people are going to spend thousands of dollars on new police cars. Well city and county council members should think long and hard about that. Recently, I spoke to an officer of more than 30 years that didn't see anything wrong with the one's they have. Just because out new sheriff needed a new Dodge Charger with huge Hemi engines (which won't do them any good because they work the county and most county roads are too small or in too bad shape to get any speed) doesn't mean we should buy every officer one.
