Letter: State tourney a local success

-A A +A

Graham Memorial Park and Marion County Little League recently held the Kentucky Little League State Tournament here in Lebanon. The tournament took many hours to host and plan. On behalf of the Marion County Little League and Graham Memorial Park, we would like to express our appreciation to all the volunteers, sponsors, MCLL Board and park staff who made this event the large success it was. Everyone's hard work on this event will never go unnoticed or be forgotten.

As we end this Little League season on a very positive note, we regret to inform everyone that the Marion County Little League Board has four vacancies to fill before next season starts. The vacancies to fill are president, secretary/treasurer, 9/10 and 11/12 league coordinator, and concession manager. The outgoing members are Matthew Mattingly (president), Jackie Lanham (secretary/treasurer), Darin Spalding (9/10 and 11/12 league coordinator) and Eddie Masterson (concession manager). We appreciate these outgoing members for their hard work and dedication over the past years as volunteers for this great program.

I would like to personally say it was an honor to serve on the board with such class act people who genuinely cared about the program, children and making both such a success.
