LHS Lettermen

Several members of the Lebanon High School Yellow Jackets  football teams from the late 1940s to late 1950s gathered in Danville for Ray Callahan’s induction into the Danville High School Athletic Hall of Fame. Coach Callahan’s 1962 Danville High School team won the AA state football championship.Callahan and Tommy Simpson went on to play at the University of Kentucky. Callahan was a starting guard at Kentucky from 1952-54 for coaches Bear Bryant and Blanton Collier. Simpson was the team captain of the 1962 “Thin Thirty” team at the University of Kentucky.
