The Mets won the first game of the 2013 Marion County Little League program. Eden Kessler scored four runs and Maggie Overstreet pitched two innings of two-run softball and made a leaping catch of a line drive in the 2nd that was the turning point in the game.  For the Rays, Abby Jo Maupin and Alice Farmer each had two hits.

Phillies 100 041 0 - 6
Cassidy Logsdon and Amber Ferris each had RBI hits in the top of the 7th to put the Yankees up for good in this extra inning game.  Jenna Cecil was the winning pitcher, striking out 12 in the 7 innings.  For the Phillies, Mariella Curtis scored three runs, and Jenny Mattingly knocked in two RBI.

Reds   442 22 - 14
Abby Scott’s three hits, three runs, and two RBI’s paced the reds to their first win.  Jaci Benningfield added four hits and two RBI’s.  For the Rays Alexis Logsdon doubled knocking in two of the Rays four runs scoring another.
Phillies  202 202 - 8
Mets     151 21x - 10
Olivia Ford’s two-RBI hitting and seven strike outs pitching led the Mets to their second win.  Taylor Webb scored two and knocked in another for the Mets.  For the Phillies, Emily Helms had three hits and scored three times, while Mariella Curtis had two hits and knocked in three runs.
