One hundred fifty years ago, Gen. John Hunt Morgan made his third visit to Lebanon during the course of the Civil War. That stop led to what is now known as the Battle of Lebanon.
To commemorate the anniversary of that event, the Kentucky Army National Guard's 202nd Army Band will be performing in concert at 7 p.m. Friday, July 5, at St. Augustine Church. After the concert, a reception will be held at the Marion County Heritage Center, which is located in the old Marion County Courthouse, 120 W. Main Street in Lebanon.
