Dr. Daniel Bailey remained in critical condition Monday afternoon at University Hospital in Louisville.
Bailey was involved in an ATV accident Oct. 23. He was flown to Louisville Oct. 24, and he has been there since.
Bailey suffered a shattered pelvis and compartment syndrome in both legs as a result of the accident. Compartment syndrome is the result of pressure building between muscles, which can decrease blood flow to the affected area, preventing oxygen from reaching nerve and muscle cells, according to the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.
