Local students awarded scholarships

Olivia Jones, Angela Lyvers, Cody Rakes, Evan Thompson and Alexa York, all of Marion County High School, are the 2011 recipients of a $500 college scholarship from Marion County Farm Bureau. These awards are five of the 210 college scholarships worth a total of $269,100 that the Marion County Farm Bureau, the Kentucky Farm Bureau Education Foundation and numerous other individual county Farm Bureaus awarded this year to deserving students from across the Commonwealth.
