On July 27, 1953, an armistice was signed that ended three years of fighting in the Korean War. Sixty years later, a few Marion County natives took some time to reflect on their service in that conflict.
Officially, the military intervention in Korea was seen as a "police action," but Sonny Pickerill, 83, saw it differently.
"It was all out war," he said.
