A 26-year-old Loretto man died early Sunday morning as the result of a single-vehicle accident.
According to the Kentucky State Police, Joseph Raikes was driving north on KY 49. Around 1 a.m., approximately five miles north of Lebanon, Raikes lost control of the 2006 Dodge truck he was driving when his vehicle dropped off the shoulder of the road.
The truck left the roadway and Raikes, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the vehicle, according to the state police. The Marion County Coroner pronounced Raikes dead at the scene.
