Christopher A. Sutherland, 21, of 1732 Sonne Avenue in Louisville was indicted in Marion Circuit Court recently for 10 counts of third-degree rape, 10 counts of third-degree sodomy, 10 counts of first-degree sexual abuse and second-degree persistent felony offender.
According to the indictment, between Aug. 26 and Sept. 7, Sutherland, on at least 10 occasions, had sexual intercourse with a person less than 16 years old. The indictment also reads that, on at least 10 occasions, he engaged in deviate sexual intercourse with a person less than 16 years old and that he subjected a person less than 16 years old to sexual contact.
The indictment continues to read that he is over 21 and stands convicted of one prior felony after his 18th birthday.
His bond was set at $15,000 with the condition that he has no contact with the complaining witness.
In other indictments:
- Melissa Huffman Fields, 30, of 6119 Holy Cross Road in Loretto was indicted for 30 counts of first-degree unlawful transaction with a minor.
According to the indictment, between Aug. 26 and Sept. 30, Fields, on at least 30 occasions, knowingly induced, assisted or caused a minor to engage in illegal sexual activity.
Her bond was set at $15,000 with the condition that she has no contact with the complaining witness or family.
- Francis S. Clark, 31, of 245 N. St. Francis Road in Loretto was indicted for first-degree wanton endangerment, first-degree criminal mischief, fourth-degree assault and second-degree persistent felony offender.
According to the indictment, on or about Sept. 4, Clark manifested extreme indifference to the value of human life by wantonly engaging in conduct that created a substantial danger of death or serious physical injury to another person. The indictment also reads that he intentionally or wantonly defaced, destroyed or damaged property causing a loss of $1,000 or more.
The indictment continues to read that he is over 21 and stands convicted of one prior felony after his 18th birthday.
His bond was set at $25,000 with the conditions that he does not use alcohol or drugs and that he has no contact with the complaining witness.
- Jacob Aaron Hourigan, 31, of 2775 Gravel Switch Road in Gravel Switch was indicted for DUI fourth or subsequent offense, operating a motor vehicle while license suspended/revoked for DUI (third or subsequent offense) aggravating circumstance, third-degree terroristic threatening, reckless driving, possession of an open alcoholic beverage container and first-degree persistent felony offender.
According to the indictment, on or about Sept. 24, Hourigan was driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or other substance that impaired his driving ability, and that this was his fourth or subsequent offense. The indictment continues to read that he was driving on a suspended or revoked license (due to a DUI conviction) and this was his third or subsequent offense.
His bond was set at $5,000 with the conditions that he may not drive or use alcohol.
- William C. Lanham, 29, of 250 N. Proctor Knott Avenue in Lebanon was indicted for possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, tampering with physical evidence, possession of drug paraphernalia and first-degree persistent felony offender.
According to the indictment, on or about Sept. 9, Lanham possessed, manufactured or transported a handgun when he had been convicted of a felony. The indictment also reads that he was over 21 and stood convicted of two felonies after his 18th birthday.
His bond was set at 10 percent of $20,000, and he may be held on home incarceration with GPS.
- Danny Ray Reid, 28, of 7491 Loretto Road in Bardstown was indicted for first-degree criminal mischief and violation of a Kentucky EPO/DVO.
According to the indictment, on or about July 30, Reid intentionally or wantonly defaced, destroyed or damaged property causing a loss of $1,000 or more.
His bond was set at 10 percent of $15,000 with the conditions that he has no contact with the victims and does not use alcohol or drugs.
- Christie M. Hourigan, 33, of 113 Rowntree Court in Lebanon was indicted for first-degree possession of a controlled substance second offense, possession of drug paraphernalia, no registration plate and second-degree persistent felony offender.
According to the indictment, on or about Oct. 4, Hourigan knowingly and unlawfully possessed a controlled substance that is classified as a Schedule I or II, which is a narcotic, and this was her second or subsequent offense. The indictment also reads that she was over 21 and stood convicted of one felony after her 18th birthday.
Her bond was set at 10 percent of $5,000 with the condition that she uses no alcohol or drugs.
- Tina R. Smith, 31, of 693 Lynch Road in Lebanon was indicted for welfare fraud.
According to the indictment, between July 2010 and February 2011, Smith knowingly made false statements, misrepresented or by other means failed to disclose a material fact used in determining a person's qualification to receive benefits under any assistance program and/or with intent to defraud, failed to report a change in the factors affecting the person's eligibility for benefits.
Her bond was set at $300.
