A lucky child will light the tree

The Main Street Committee and the Marion County Chamber of Commerce extends an invitation to all Marion County children, between the ages of 3-10 years old, to participate in a drawing that will determine who will light the Community Christmas Tree.
The lighting of this tree is the official kick-off of the Dickens Christmas Celebration and will take place at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 25 in Court Square.
The deadline to enter is 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18. The drawing will be held at 9 a.m. Monday, Nov. 21.
