MAC prisoner escapes, is captured Thursday morning

Nathaniel Grant, 25, was reported missing from Marion Adjustment Center at 5:46 a.m. Thursday. By 7:14 a.m., he was back in custody.

Grant was arrested by the Lebanon Police Department behind the Kroger on E. Main Street in Lebanon. The Marion County Sheriff's Office assisted with the arrest. He has been taken to the Marion County Detention Center where he is being held on a charge of second-degree escape.

Grant had been serving a five-year sentence on charges of second-degree burglary, second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, second-degree forgery and theft of mail matter (two counts).

 Grant had a parole hearing on March 18, and his parole was deferred for 12 months, according to the Kentucky Department of Corrections online offender lookup system.
