Thursday, the Marion County Fiscal Court approved a revision to its agreement to abate taxes for Beam Global. The change was approved 4-1 with Magistrate Roger "Cotton" Smothers casting the opposing vote.
On May 3, the court approved an agreement that would allow Beam Global a 30-year partial tax abatement on up to six warehouses for Maker's Mark to be built in Marion County. Under this agreement, Beam Global also agreed to invest more than $1 million in Marion County Public Schools.
